Can Non US Residents participate into this?

I am from India, working on to submit a submission soon in this hackathon. Can I participate?

    Hi Harsh,

    Yes, this is a global hackathon (with only a few excluded countries). For a full list of the eligibility rules, please see Section 3 of the Official Rules.

    Hi Alireza Saberi,

    Thanks for your question. We wish we did not have to exclude countries or regions from global competitions. Unfortunately, it is legally complicated to run prize-based competitions in some areas due to local contest regulations. By no means is this a statement as to whether international developers are valued or not. They are! It's just a matter of complying with US and local laws.

    You are still certainly welcome to create an app using the USDA datasets and post it to your portfolio, but unfortunately you will not be eligible to win a prize in this competition.
